J.R Celski won the bronze medal in the 1,500-meter short-track speed skating event. Although he is representing the US in the Olympics, he’s proud to have a Filipino blood. Celski born in Monterey, California is the youngest of three brothers. His father, Robert Celski served in the U.S. Army and his mom Sue is a full-blooded Filipina who hails from Isabela.
"I would love for people to know that I am Filipino. I am very proud to be Filipino. My mother is full blooded Filipino which makes me..."
J.R. Celski sported a "three stars and a sun" Philippine flag-referenced tattoo on his chest, as shown on NBC and affiliate television networks the evening he was disqualified from the race. Francois Hamelin of Canada, bumped Celski from behind. Of course, anyone will have that immediate reactions. But clearly it was not a pushed. In my opinion!! and I quote!! "LUTO, LUTO" ..They did the same thing to Apolo Ohno last night (Feb 26) when he was disqualified in the 500-meter run. I know all my friends from Canada will hate me for this.. Bit I will say it again!! "LUTO" LUTO" "LUTO"
