I guess Jay-Z is not retired after all. After the American Gangster album.
Here comes "The Blueprint 3"
As you all know. It came out with a BANG!!
Instant classic if I may.

Blueprint 3 is a return of Jay-Z's top notch era. From Kanye producing most of the track.
To the one the hottest single right now. Which is "We Run This Town".
To "History". A track celebrating a recent history that the whole world celebrated.
Obama, becoming the first African-American president of the United States.

One of my favorite line will be the on the first track called "What We Talkin’ About?".
"I don’t run rap no more; I run the map."
If anyone have the right to say the line. It would be Jay-Z.
By far. He is one of the biggest rapper of all time.

Of course. Who wouldn't like "We Run This Town"?
Dope beats, great emcees. And dope hook.
Not to hate or anything. I just wish that they could have gotten a more seasoned veteran to do the hook.
I'm not saying this because of happen between Chris Brown and Rihanna.
Which is Chris Brown is a total idiot for that. Yeah I said it.
DUDE. You can kill a a person, rob a liquor store or mugged someone.
You will still be respected. BUT YOU NEVER HIT A WOMAN!
Anyway, Rihanna did a good job on chorus. But I just felt like she's not the right person for the track.
She's a very talented person. So don't get me wrong. But I just felt like she is too young and too mellow for the topic of the song. You are trying to run the town after all. But all and all. It's a dope track.

My other favorite will be "Empire State Of Mind"
I guess it's a counter or another reference to Nas "New York State Of Mind"
Instead of Nas New York is about nightmare hellscape, Jay-Z's New York is a place of fast streets, sports teams, fulfilled dreams and so on.

I could go over all the track. But I will always end up saying.
"THE BLUEPRINT 3" is an instant classic.
